National Sales Manager

The person we are seeking is: 

A proven and skilled sales manager. The role of a National Sales manager is to drive sales! This person must be comfortable and skilled to deal with large distribution accounts both in-person and remotely. This position requires someone familiar with manufacturer’s representatives and knows how to direct their efforts for the good of New Yorker Boiler Company sales.

We are seeking people that work very independently from their home office and travel as much as they need to in order to get the job done. The ideal location for this position is within 100 miles of Lancaster, PA.; candidates with the correct skill set outside of this geography will be considered.

 

The Position: 

  • Must develop and implement effective sales strategies to grow market share
  • Lead a nationwide group of individual manufacturer’s rep organizations to achieve sales targets
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
  • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; and analyzing trends and results.
  • Establishes productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned distributor customer accounts
  • Must negotiate and close agreements with large customers
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Presents mid-year and annual results to the corporation’s Board of Directors
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of total sales experience with a minimum of 1 year managing large accounts
  • 3+ years of HVAC industry experience preferred; experience in residential boilers/hydronics preferred
  • Prefer 2+ years of experience managing a high performance sales team
  • Strong technical background
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree
